O’Neills Dry Cure Bacon Co, produced in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford has been awarded Great Taste stars for three of its products in the world’s largest food awards scheme. O’Neills Dry Cure Bacon Co. is celebrating two gold stars for their Dry Cured Streaky Rashers and one gold star for the Dry Cured Bacon Joint and Dry Cured Smoked Streaky Rashers.
Pat O’Neill is the man behind the scenes; Pat dry cures Irish pork using a traditional family recipe with a mix of natural sea salt and sugar. There is 30% less salt than average and as no water is added, no phosphates are needed. With O’Neills you get all meat, so when the bacon is cooking there is no shrinking on the pan. This is bacon cured in the traditional way, with superb results.
