We are delighted that our Dry Cured Rashers have been awarded the ultimate accolade of Gold at the 2017 Blas na hEireann Awards, in the Bacon Rashers category. We had a very early start on the day of the awards ceremony, we left Wexford for Dingle at 4.30 in the morning but had all the energy in the world when we were announced as the Gold winners in the Bacon Rashers category.
The fun didn’t end there. We are very happy to say that up against tough competition, we also won the Best in Wexford Award.
Now in the 10th year, Blas na hEireann, The Irish Food Awards is the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland. Over 2500 products were entered into the 2017 competition to win Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in over 100 food and drink categories as well as key awards such as Supreme Champion and Best Artisan Producer.
Watch out Dingle, we will definitely be going back again next year!
