We’re thrilled to be awarded 2 stars for our back rashers in the Great Taste Awards 2017..retaining the same award from 2016. Truly delighted and our Dry Cured Back rasher is the only back rasher in Ireland and the UK to be awarded 2 stars.
One of the judges commented “A lovely looking bacon which delivers crispness and excellent flavour. It’s not dry or over salty but has a delicious porky flavour. We would be happy to have this for breakfast daily!” The judges experienced, tasted and recognised everything that makes the O’Neill’s Dry Cure Bacon Co. range so special.
Winning 2 stars in the Great Taste awards brings unmeasurable value to our business in terms of credibility, opening doors to new retailers, and ultimately increasing sales. Following on from winning the Georgina Campbell Award for Best Meat at the Irish Breakfast Awards earlier this year, and 2 stars at the great taste awards in 2016 we have been overwhelmed with the support of customers, retailers and the food service sector. We are also shortlisted by the Irish Country Magazine Inaugural Best in Ireland Awards (results in September) so who knows what’s next! We cannot thank our team enough.
