NEW Maple Streaky Bacon with Waffles

  • Prep time: 15 minutes
  • Cook time: 55 minutes (includes cooking of bacon)
  • Yield: Serves 4-6

Waffles

  • 150g Self raising flour
  • 180ml Milk
  • 1 Large egg
  • 35g Caster Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1⁄2 tsp Vanilla

Toppings

  • 6 Slices of O’Neills Maple Streaky Bacon (1 for each waffle)
  • 1 Banana (sliced)
  • 30g Pecans
  • 60ml Maple syrup
  1. Prepare the bacon as per the instructions on the package.
  2. Turn on the waffle iron to preheat.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients then whisk into the dry until well combined.
  5. Pour the mix into the waffle iron and close - being careful not to overfill. Allow the waffle to cook for approx 4-5 minutes. When they are done they will easily peel away from the surface of the waffle iron.
  6. Top with sliced banana, pecans, O’Neills Maple Streaky Bacon and a drizzle of maple syrup.
